Will Instagram suspend my account for sending DMs?

Accepted Answer

No. ReplyAtlas uses Instagram's official Private Reply API via the 2024+ Instagram Login flow — no Facebook Page required. Comment replies fall within Instagram's 7-day Private Reply window. Every send is rate-limited, deduplicated, and complies with Meta's policies.

What happens to my DMs if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Your data is yours. You can export everything (leads, DM logs, automations) as JSON from Settings at any time. Account data is deleted within 30 days of a deletion request, in line with GDPR and the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Accepted Answer

Yes — A/B testing is built into the Growth plan. ReplyAtlas splits traffic 50/50 deterministically across variants and tracks click-through rate via a built-in click redirect. A weekly auto-promotion job picks a winner once both variants have ≥50 sends and one beats the other by ≥20% relative CTR.

Yes — the Live comment trigger (Pro plan) listens for comments posted while you're live and DMs the commenter the same way a regular comment trigger would. Same keyword filtering, same A/B and AI features. No per-broadcast setup needed; it fires on every live you go on.

Can I require people to follow before they get the DM?

Yes — turn on "Followers only" and add an Ask-for-Follow CTA. Non-followers get a short DM saying "Follow @handle to unlock" instead of being silently skipped. Available on every plan, including Starter.

Can I send rich DMs with images and buttons, not just text?

Yes — Carousel DMs (Pro plan) ship 2–10 image cards in a single horizontally scrolling DM, each with up to 3 tappable buttons. Use them for product catalogs, course modules, or any flow where you'd otherwise have to cram multiple links into a paragraph. Upload images directly in the editor or paste any HTTPS URL. Variables like {{handle}} and {{commentText}} interpolate inside titles, subtitles, and button URLs.

Can I attribute DMs to specific Instagram ads?

Yes — Click-to-Instagram-Direct ad attribution (Pro+ plan) routes inbound DMs from each ad campaign into its own automation. Set match rules by ad_id (numeric, from Meta Ads Manager) and/or a custom ref string on your m.me link. The catch-all rule handles any unmatched ad / shortlink so nothing falls through. Every captured DM gets the ad_id, ref, and source persisted for analytics.

Can I configure FAQ chips that show inside an empty DM thread?

Yes — Ice Breakers (Pro+ plan) let you set up to 4 FAQ chips that appear when someone opens a fresh DM thread with you on mobile. Each chip's tap fires a POSTBACK automation matched by payload, so 'Pricing?' can route to your pricing flow while 'Course details' fires the course intake flow. Configure them under Settings → DM front door per IG account. The Persistent Menu (always visible inside open threads) works the same way and supports both postback and external link buttons.

Can I auto-hide negative comments on my posts?

Yes — Comment auto-shield (Pro+ plan) is a per-automation toggle. When a matching comment is classified as negative by our AI sentiment model, the comment is hidden via Meta's Comment Moderation API while your DM still ships to the commenter. Useful on brand-collab Reels where visible negativity hurts the partnership; the commenter never knows their public comment was hidden, and you stay in control.

Can I schedule Instagram posts ahead of time?

Yes — the post scheduler (Growth plan and up) supports feed images, Reels, image stories, video stories, and carousels (2–10 images). Pick a date and time, paste media URLs, write the caption — we publish via Meta's Content Publishing API at the exact minute you set. 1-minute precision, up to 75 days in the future. You can cancel any pending post before it fires.

Yes — the @ Mention trigger (Pro plan) listens for Meta's mentions webhook and DMs the user who tagged you. Caption tags receive an auto-DM with the source post hydrated; story tags get a DM through the existing 24-hour reply window. Subscribe to the mentions field in your Meta App settings, then build an automation with trigger type Mention.
